GALLERY KAMIGATA:From the shop proprietor

Our shop mainly researches and collects Kyo-yaki, Akahada-yaki in Nara, Kosobe-yaki in Osaka, Kikko-yaki, Sakaiminato-yaki, Koto-yaki in Shiga, Ubamochi-yaki, Horaku in Nagoya, Beikin-yaki, Ysamu-yaki and other Japanese porcelain works.
As to paintings and writings, our shop also researches and collects shosoku (letters) written in the Momoyama period and letters of famous people in the modern age.
In addition, our shop also researches and collects posters and labels for designers, etc.
We think that antiques are literally immortal cultural properties transmitted by long history and rid of extra flesh.
We are very glad and appreciate the opportunity to deal in antiques handed down by our predecessors to today.
We hope that those antiques will be used in daily lives, and not remain idle.
At present, we research and collect leaflets and posters left by Japanese acrobats and tumblers at the end of the nineteenth century, who were close to the lives of common people, in order to pursue their footsteps.
